Who says retirement means slowing down? For me, it’s just the beginning.
After many rewarding years working as a Care Manager, I began thinking about what retirement would look like for me.
I knew I wasn’t ready to simply sit back and do nothing. I wanted something exciting—something that would keep me active, let me meet new people, and give me a fresh sense of purpose.
That’s when I discovered an opportunity within the travel industry that opened my eyes to a whole new world of possibilities. With no previous experience in travel, I decided to step outside my comfort zone and take a chance on something completely different.
I’m now on an exciting journey of building my very own travel business—learning new skills, meeting new people, and creating something I can continue to enjoy throughout retirement.
And do you know what I’ve realised? You don’t have to be young, have years of experience, or have everything figured out to start a new chapter in your life. Sometimes you just need to be open to new possibilities.
